We were absolutely overwhelmed when we received more speaking submissions than ever before for AstriCon this year.

With more than 130 speakers showing interest in speaking at AstriCon, we shortlisted to just over 70 talks, and we only had 35 slots to allocate. But there were so many great content ideas in the shortlist that I have worked with the team to open up, EVEN MORE, slots. I am beside myself with excitement to announce that we will have 50 sessions (yes fifty) at AstriCon this year – more than ever before!!

If you have not already gotten your pass for Orlando, you only have a few short days to take advantage of the early bird pricing, which will close on August 1.

Take a look at the sessions here, and you will soon understand that you really, really don’t want to miss AstriCon 2017, especially if you are serious about Asterisk and/or Open Source Communications in general.

We will be highlighting individual sessions over the coming weeks, but for now just know that there are more great sessions planned for this AstriCon – more than you can shake an Open Source, Open Standards stick at. 🙂

Notably, we have some Asterisk-based Distros represented at AstriCon this year – Wazo, Isabel, AsteriskNOW and, of course, FreePBX.

We’re expecting our largest Open Source Showcase on the Expo floor this year, too. Last year’s OSS was a record breaker – so we are going from strength to strength.

Remember that the Diamond Pass, which allows you to bring 3 colleagues (from the same company) with you to share the love as well as the great information that is always part of AstriCon, is available again this year.

This is your chance to meet Open Source movers, shakers and all those special ‘characters’ that form the amazing Community that has grown up around Asterisk over the last 18 years.

I’m really looking forward to seeing YOU in Orlando,

David
