Q: Tell us about one of your recent customers who deployed Switchvox.  Why did they choose Switchvox?

A: Gettysburg Area School District chose Switchvox for several reasons. The customer wanted a feature-rich system that allowed for third-party applications. It was also important to have SIP endpoints that were easy to manage and did not require a lot of care and feeding.

They also wanted to be sure the system fit their overall budget, while allowing them the security of knowing they could grow with the system without costly hardware replacements or upgrades.

Q: What do you like most about Digium:

A: Digium’s Switchvox Unified Communications solution is a very robust platform that has all the features the majority of our customers require.

Digium solutions also have full SIP interoperability that allows us to help our customers meet their technical, financial and competitive challenges today and in the future.

Q:What excites you most when working with customers?

A: I love selling the Digium solution because of its inherent flexibility. My customers are buying a system that can expand and grow as their needs demand, and Digium is a perfect fit.

There are also amazing things that can be integrated with Digium’s solution, such as Bell Schedules, PoE speakers, Paging, Security Cameras, 911 and Emergency Alerts. Switchvox is really quite impressive.

Q: What are you seeing in your business? What are customers most interested in?

A: We are seeing customers truly scrutinizing every single technology purchase and making sure they match specific organizational goals.

With today’s investments in technology, customers want to know the solutions will help them be more competitive/productive, have a quick ROI, enable better communications internally and externally, and be beneficial in helping them grow their business in general.

Q: Having been in the industry for a long while, what are some of the biggest changes you’re seeing with customers/technology today compared to the past 5-10 years?

A: Most customers I talk to want to know the solution they buy today is going to be there for them in the future. My typical customer is tired of the proprietary, complex solution that comes with huge overhead and is a financial burden to their already shrinking IT budget.

Q: Why do you like being a part of Digium’s Channel Program?

A: We have been partnered with Digium for about 4 years. We chose Digium as a replacement for other major VoIP manufacturers who were not as easy to do business with, or as flexible in helping us win business.
