Good news: Digium Phones are Now Generally Available

During our Beta and our Early-Adopter periods, we’ve received a lot of really positive feedback on our phones. Users are thrilled with the ease of provisioning, the integrated applications, and the reliability. Now that we’re through the initial launch, today we’re announcing the general availability of the Digium phones, the D40, D50, and D70, for Asterisk-based systems and Switchvox.

As a part of this, we’re also moving the new 5.5 releases of Switchvox SMB and the 1.8-digiumphones branch of Asterisk to general availability. The 5.5 release of Switchvox SMB includes integrated support for managing Digium phones – assignment and provisioning, contacts, applications – extensive updates to its User presence options, and a number of issue resolutions. For the full list, see the Switchvox SMB 5.5 release notes. The 1.8-digiumphones branch of Asterisk provides support for the Digium Phone Module for Asterisk (DPMA) and includes numerous application changes to support the enhanced capabilities provided by Digium phones.

To everyone not using a Digium phone, we hope to win your business. To everyone already using a Digium phone, we thank you for your ideas for improvements. And, we look forward to exceeding your expectations.

Ready to find out more details on the phones? We’ve set up new, 30-minute webinars: Our Asterisk experts will show you how to create an end-to-end phone system using Digium phones with Asterisk; or, you can hear from our Switchvox experts as they detail the advantages of using Digium phones with Switchvox.
